Virus FSD-1 is a post-apocalyptic zombie roleplay forum set in the year 2023. It is a constantly struggle of
survival of the fittest as characters are pitted against one another in a vain effort to survive. Gangs
have become a common occurrence as people ban together to gain strength and resources, creating both violence
and tension among opposing parties. The virus took out most of humanity, toppling societies and creating mayhem.
It has been three years since the collapse and the surviving humans are no better off than day one.
Virus is a new and growing forum welcoming both new and advanfed roleplayers. Characters use real models and celebrities,
with no restriction on age, gender, or sexuality. Because the forum features mature suobject matter and graphic content,
user must be 13 and older to join.
Welcome to the kill zone.
03/19 Staff auditions are now available for anyone interested. 03/18 Virus is officially open. Applications for the creation of gangs
can be found in the announcements board, check it out if you're interested! 03/17 Virus is currently under construction.
Upon creating a character, you will have to establish their alliance or status. Upon acceptance, that character will be grouped accordingly and you may behind role-play. But first, you should know the roles and what they mean. There was six groups to chose from: survivors, infected, and four "gangs". You character will fit into one of these six groups. Please remember that regardless of role (with the exception of the infected), characters are susceptible to hunger, thirst, injury, and other diseases. So survival relies on both external conflict and biological needs.
these zombies in the park they're looking for my heart a dark world aches for a splash of the sun
The survivors are our lone wolves, rogues, loners, whatever you want to call them. They travel alone or in small units of two or three (usually a family member or close friend). Survivors do not hold any political alliance to a gang or group. Essentially, they survive and get by with whatever means they can. It is important for survivors to be leery of the zombies at all times, but also be alert when encroaching on gang territory - some of them won't hesitate to shoot. Survivors may choose to join an alliance at whatever time they choose, which must be role-played out in character for acceptance. After which, please contact a staff member so they can change your member group and update alliance information.
i want you stuff into my mouth, hold you down and tear you open, live inside you - love i'd never hurt you.
Now, I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with this, but i'm really intrigued by the idea of actually being able to make infected characters. Infections are transferred when the virus gets into the blood stream, this can be transferred sexually and physically through biting or scratching. The transformation is rather slow (I'm gonna be pretty lenient with this, depending on how much humanity you want your character to poses). Infected characters may be newly infected, in which they come down with fevers, cold sweats, and irritability. As the infection progresses, morality becomes distorted, characters begin to develop a desire for bloodlust, using malice and ill intent to feel the beating hearts of their victims. The final result is a "zombie" - a creature purely driven to madness and seemingly unhindered by injury. The infected are very hard to kill, requiring either direct head shots or complete obliteration of the heart.
The Broken Saints are named after the image of a saint dressed in black with two broken wings sprouting from his back that is painted on the North and South openings of the railway. Like saints, they usually open their arms to survivors, temporarily. A survivor is allowed to remain with the group for three days before they are forced to leave, unless they choose to stay. If they stay then they must go through Initiation. This ritual is a rather simple one if you know what you are doing. The soon to be saint must prove their ability to provide for the gang by taking down two of the undead and bringing back whatever the undead had on their person. A wrangler will accompany the inductee. Once in the gang, everything goes smoothly.
Members of this gang are generally inviting but ruthless. Any sign of hostility with send them on edge. They are generally loyal to their gang and do not break away to join another gang. If this occurs than they will not be welcomed back, but met with brandished weapons and unfriendly sneers. The group is tight knit for the most part and other than loyalty their personalities vary. The only thing extremely odd about this gang would be their sleeping schedule. Because there is not much light in the tunnels, it is hard to distinguish night from day. Everyone is up at odd times, but most are up at night. A few years of this odd sleeping pattern has some of the native members a bit more nocturnal than most.
In an attempt to keep humanity in mind, there are a few rules:
Murder is Not Permitted and is Punishable by Starvation or Banishment on the First Offense
Rape is Not Permitted and is Punishable by Starvation or Banishment Depending on the Number of Offenses
One is Never to Reveal the Location of the Group to Another Gang or Survivor Without the Heads Consent
Theft is Frowned Upon and Will be Met With Varying Consequences
Respect the Head and Grand Master
If You Leave The Broken Saints You May Not Return
Leader/Head | One Position
The Head of the gang is in charge of everything from organizing raids to full scale battles with other gangs. If there is a large dispute it is to be brought to the Head. These disputes would include: murder, rape, treason, etc. Don't come crying if someone stole your pillow. Leadership must be passed down to the Grand Master once the Head reaches an age of 45 if they even live to be that old...
Grand Master | One Position
The Grand Master is the Head's right hand man or woman. Everything important or life-changing the Head may do has to go through the Grand Master before things can swing in to action. Like the Head, Grand Master will solve disputes and handle petty crimes. These include: theft, noise disturbances, etc. If the Leader dies or is infected the Grand Master takes His or Her place and it is their job to pick the next Grand Master.
Medic | Two Positions
Being in a zombie apocalypse it is probably wise to have someone with some knowledge of modern medicine. Medics have the responsibility of checking members for infection once a month as well as caring for the wounded and sick. Seeing that medical supplies are sparse, medics must make due with what has been scavenged already. This includes bandages, cold medicine, and pain medicine. If any wounds require more than what is already provided a request must be sent out to the Head. The Head may or may not accept this request and send out Treaders to look for more supplies.
Watchdogs | Ten Positions
Watchdogs are exactly what they sound like. These people are placed at either entrance of the railway, just near the gated stairs on the North and Sound Sides. Other entrances were blocked through the years. Two watchdogs are stationed at each opening and alternate throughout the days and nights. The shifts are long and the work is monotonous, so be prepared for that. If something happens(herd or invasion) one watchdog is to run back to the main hall and alert the others, while the other keeps a careful eye on the occurrence.
Trainees | Unlimited Positions | Characters under 18 automatically go here
Trainees are younger characters that are unable to fend well for themselves. These trainees are generally under 18 but can also include those survivors who make it in to the gang and need training for a particular task.
Treaders | Unlimited Positions
These are the scouts/scavengers of the gang. A high risk, but popular job this is. Many take up this job as an excuse to get out of the dark and dank railway system. It is preferred that groups of three to four are sent out daily with two wranglers to expand their knowledge of the area. Inexperienced Treaders must be with at least one Expert Treader. Only Expert Treaders are allowed to go out alone without a Wrangler. When filling out your character application please state whether they are a Inexperienced, Experienced, or Expert Treader.
Wranglers | Unlimited Positions
Wranglers specialize in taking down the undead. They are specifically trained to protect and kill the undead in more than one way with more that one weapon. Everyone is able to take down one of the enemies, but not all are able to do it with such ease. As well as the walking dead, Wranglers handle human threats like other gangs and hostile survivors. Wranglers generally accompany Treaders one various runs. When filling out you character application please state whether they are Inexperienced, Experienced, or Expert Wranglers.
